How John got on today

It was very emotional for John today, he found people were very kind and happy to see him. His language was poor for the first hour or so but then it did come back. He found everyone very supportive. He is very very tired tonight but that is to be expected. He is back on work on Wednesday for another three hours so he has tomorrow to rest.

Tonight I experienced a flashback. For one moment I was a child again. I was sitting in the car in the dark when my daughter ran in to collect our dog from her nan. The warmth of the light flooded through the open doorway into the dark street. As I sat there a flood of childhood memories filled my senses.
